Order & Chaos
On Tessera and throughout the multiverse, the historically-predatory races--especially dragonborn, goblinoids, and orcs--face a choice between order and chaos. Individuals, clans, tribes, and whole communities must make the choice. Those who choose order (or "civilization") respect principles such codes of laws and treaties, and are more likely to revere one or more appropriate gods. Those who choose chaos (or "natural order") respect principles such as "might makes right" and "survival of the fittest," and are more likely to revere one or more appropriate gods.
Among the dragonborn, this is the choice between loyalty to Bahamut (who they see as an aspect of the Sovereign) or to Tiamat (an aspect of the Tyrant).
Among orcs, the path of natural order is called the Way of the Hunt. When a orcish tribe declares a decision to follow the Way of the Hunt, it's tantamount to renouncing all past treaties, ignoring territorial borders, and otherwise issuing a warning to neighbors.
