The Balanced Wheel

The Balanced Wheel is a multi-racial monastic order. It's part of the Church of the Reverence.
The order was founded by Gamil the Stoic. Its seat is the monastery he founded, above the town of Tullsdale.
Gamil Stonejaw was a dwarven man (481-623 SF). For much of his life, he was third in succession for the Imperial crown. Gamil distinguished himself as a soldier and then commander. However, he grew to despise war, racism, and materialism. He renounced his officer's commission and his claim in the Stonejaw dynasty. He founded the Balanced Wheel as an ascetic order that uses violence only when necessary, and embraces all races and many different spiritual beliefs. This especially includes reverence for all six of the Eternals, and humble respect for the Shadows.
Adherents to the Balanced Wheel share a common focus on the power of balance, in multiple ways.
- The world and everything in it eventually, naturally balance themselves. This is a manifestation of the Law of Displacement.
- There is divine grace in improving the balance. This especially includes countering evil with good, cruelty with compassion, and selfishness with selflessness.
- The Wheel is always in motion. This is a manifestation of the Law of Entropy. People must change to stay in balance.
Adherents include clerics, druids, monks, and paladins.
