DMAs
From Hulks & Husks Wiki
A large group plays better together if we collaborate on the total game experience. As a DM, I try to delegate some duties to players, to help manage the workload and keep things moving. We usually agree on DMA roles at the start of each session, although a player may fulfill the same role in consecutive sessions. If no one is available and willing for a DMA role, the DM handles the relevant business. All players are invited and encouraged to help manage DMA business--regardless of any assigned roles.
These are the DMAs I request. This list may change over time.
- Inspiration Keeper: helps the DM remember and adjudicate the rules for Inspiration (PHB 125), including suggesting moments when a PC could or should earn Inspiration, and moments when they might spend it.
- Party Leader: leads the party both IC and OOC; helps the DM keep the players focused and the party moving forward.
- Story Keeper: helps the DM remember and record the central story of each episode.
- Table Keeper: helps the DM manage the battlemap and miniatures, such as resizing minis, copy-pasting minis, removing defeated minis, and calling the DM's attention to mistakes.
- XP Keeper: helps the DM manage XP earning, especially keeping track of the type and number enemies defeated; can suggest that XP be awarded for particular achievements by the party or individual PCs, and at story milestones (e.g., the party completes a quest).
